Pan American Piobaireachd Society

The Pan American Piobaireachd Society is affiliated to The Piobaireachd Society. The Pan American Piobaireachd Society will promote the understanding, playing, and preservation of piobaireachd, the classical bagpipe music of Scotland, throughout the Americas.

The Pan American Piobaireachd Society will achieve these goals through on-line and in-person seminars in which experts in piobaireachd instruct students in the elements and proper playing of this music; lectures, wherein experts instruct students on the history and development of this musical tradition; and tuition awards for students to participate in competitions and other events celebrating piobaireachd. Through these activities, new generations of musicians will gain a breadth and depth of skill and experience in understanding, playing, and creating piobaireachd, the classical bagpipe music of Scotland.
